# Fitly AI Privacy Policy

## The short version

- We collect your profile, health data, meals, workouts, photos, conversations, and any Apple Health data you choose to sync, to power AI guidance.
- Apple Health access is read-only and optional. We never use Apple Health data for advertising, never sell it, and exclude it from model training.
- Your conversations are processed by third-party AI providers (like Anthropic) to generate responses. They don't train on your data.
- **We may use your data to train our own AI models** to improve guidance quality. You can opt out anytime by emailing privacy@fitly.chat.
- We may **share anonymized data** (that can't identify you) with third parties for research and analytics.
- We **never sell** your personal information.
- Payments go through Stripe. We never see your card number.
- Your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+), stored on AWS in the United States.
- You can access, correct, export, or delete your data anytime by emailing privacy@fitly.chat.
- California (CCPA), European (GDPR), and Canadian (PIPEDA) residents have additional rights, covered in the full policy.

## What we collect

- **Account info:** name, email, securely hashed password.
- **Profile and health data:** date of birth, gender, height, weight, fitness goals, dietary preferences, food allergies, supplements you tell us you take, injuries, training experience.
- **Fitness and nutrition data:** meals (descriptions, macros, photos), workouts (exercises, sets, reps, weights), body weight, water intake, progress photos. All timestamped.
- **Apple Health data (optional, iOS):** daily summaries of the categories you approve - sleep, steps, active energy, body weight, workouts - read-only and marked with Apple Health as the source.
- **Conversation data:** your chats with the AI agent, including text messages and photo uploads.
- **Payment info:** handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer identifier and subscription status.
